Brighton striker Glenn Murray reckons it's too soon for the English Premier League to return while the UK continues to suffer in the coronavirus pandemic.
Club managers and players were invited to convene on the resumption of competitive football on Wednesday. 36-year-old Murray was on that call - and he reckons it's wrong to restart the Premier League while the country remains among the hardest-hit in Europe.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "Football isn't necessarily a necessity - it's a game, it's a sport."I mean, what if we go through all this rigmarole of trying to get back started, and we have a second peak and we're stopped anyways?
