Good Morning Britain 's Dr Hilary Jones has explained why pregnant women cannot yet get the newly-approved Covid-19 vaccine.

The news was released on Wednesday that the Pfiezer/BioNTech vaccine, which has a 95% effectiveness rate, has now been approved in the UK.

It could be rolled out as early as next week, with healthcare workers, care home residents, care home staff, and older people and those with pre-existing conditions taking priority.

But host Ben Shephard told Dr Hilary a lot of pregnant women had been in touch with the show, wondering if they would be able to get the vaccine.
