Binny Golf Club and Scotland’s Rural College has agreed a partnership to operate the Oatridge Golf Course in West Lothian.The running of the golf course at the Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) at Ecclesmachan, near Uphall, has transferred to the Binny Golf Club.The Binny Club, which has been based on the course since 2002, took up the running of the course on April 1.

This has ensured the continuation of the well-used community golf course, against the recent trend of golf courses closing.SRUC has agreed to an initial deal lasting five years which will see the Binny Golf Club lease the course and clubhouse from the college.

PHILADELPHIA - No one was injured after a gunman opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Germantown.Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp told reporters that two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the 4800 block of Keyser Street around 2 p.m. when they came upon a shootout between a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old.
