Celebrations are under way in Blackrock, Co Louth for a great grandmother who turns 90 today. Kathleen Lynch is dancing in her garden all day to raise funds for Age Action Ireland and the Red Cross.
Less than a year ago Kathleen and her husband Donnie, 94, were attacked at their home. They say raising funds is their way of giving back to a community that has supported them.
Kathleen's family had planned a hotel party to mark her 90th birthday but due to the Covid-19 restrictions, it had to be cancelled.
Not all of Kathleen’s family could be here today, due to the restrictions, but some of her 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren have been dancing from afar.
