Halsey is urging her fans to watch footage she had taken from the frontline of protests taking place in Los Angeles, following the death of George Floyd.

Floyd, 46, died in Minneapolis last week after he was arrested and a white police officer knelt on his neck for over eight minutes, despite his pleas that he couldn’t breathe.

His death has sparked anti-racism protests across America, with Halsey and her ex-boyfriend Yungblud attending demonstrations in LA together.

Sharing her experience, Halsey told fans ‘you need to see what I’ve seen’ as explained ‘innocent people’ peacefully protesting had been ‘shot at and tear gassed’, with many left needing medical attention.
