New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir High court in a recent order said that it is imperative to recognise the violence against healthcare professionals and clinical establishments.
The court while doing so had also cited a January report by the think Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy called ‘Violence Against Healthcare Professionals in India: Recent Legal and Policy Issues.’ The report by the think tank puts together data on trends in violence against the healthcare professionals in India and undertakes examination of the existing provisions of criminal law which can be used to deal with such violence and analysis of the specific provisions of the Draft Bill.
