A headteacher's goodbye letter to children as the school prepares to close its doors due to coronavirus COVID-19 has left parents in tears.

Hildi Mitchell sent a moving note too all pupils at Downs Infant School in Brighton telling them not to be scared, explaining that we're "having an adventure and like all real adventurers we have to be brave".

She explains that while lots of things may be different when they return, their "school grown-ups" will think about them every day.

She writes: "We will laugh at the funny things you have done, and will wonder if you are still getting better at your handwriting and what you are reading now. "We will always love you even though we won’t be able to see you every day for a while." She also says that
