New Delhi: Health and family welfare minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Saturday chaired a virtual meeting with central and state health agencies to address the health-related challenges arising from the impending monsoon and potential flooding in Assam.
Mandaviya stressed the need for robust coordination between central and state health institutions to ensure seamless management of floods and any other emergencies that may arise.
He underlined the importance of equipping healthcare facilities in flood-affected areas with essential resources such as critical care equipment, oxygen supplies, hospital beds, and clean drinking water.
The minister emphasized the significance of preventive healthcare measures and fostering greater community awareness about vector-borne and waterborne diseases.
