A young healthcare worker treating coronavirus patients for 13 hours a day has spoken of seeing the pain "in their eyes". Lucy Hutchings, 19, has revealed the toll of fighting coronavirus on the frontline of the NHS and giving end-of-life support, as she warns her hospital is running out of essential equipment.
Alongside a tearful photo, she posted on Facebook that she is "scared and think it's going to get worse", reports the Mirror.
With many of the facility's wards, including hers, reserved for virus patients, she said the majority of people she treats are in their late 60s to 90s.
Lucy, who works at Southampton General Hospital in Hampshire said she feared it is running low on personal protective equipment.
