Hearts confirm legal action pursuit as club promises to fight for fans

Hearts, Partick Thistle and Stranraer in their respective divisions after an early end to the Scottish season saw them finish bottom.

But on Monday the SPFL released a statement claiming that there was insufficient support for the new proposals and that the existing structure will be in place next season.

Chairman Ann Budge has been consistent in her view that the Tynecastle club will take the matter to court if reconstruction was rejected and relegation confirmed.

The club are set to lose around £5million as a result of going down following a separate vote to shrink the season in the Championship to just 27 games instead of the usual 36.
