Salford City Council have set up a dedicated helpline and website for the network helping self-isolating and vulnerable residents.

The helpline was launched today (24-3-20) and will be open from 8:30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. And as part of the campaign four thousand leaflets are being posted to people aged 75 and over who live alone, pointing them to the new service and offering help and support.

The support includes, food shopping, getting essential medication, and looking after pets. Leaflets will also be sent to other groups that could require help once the four thousand have been sent.

Information will also be posted on social media and made available for general circulation to support residents during the coronavirus pandemic.
