The National Theatre is bringing the stage to the small screen and streaming big-name productions on YouTube over the next few weeks.
As a result of theatres across the UK closing their doors due to the coronavirus pandemic, the publicly-funded arts group has launched a new National Theatre at Home initiative.
Every Thursday at 7pm a new production will air and viewers can watch it for free on YouTube for up to seven days - right up until the next production is released.
The next screening will be a National Theatre Live (NT Live) broadcast of Danny Boyle’s production of Frankenstein filmed at the National Theatre in 2011featuring not one, but two Sherlock Holmes.
