NEW DELHI : Insurance sector regulator Irdai has asked all insurers to be more transparent in their health insurance claim settlement process and appraise the policyholders of reasons in case of denial of claims filed.It essential that all insurers establish procedures to let policyholders get clear and transparent communication at various stages of claim process, Irdai said in a circular."All the insurers shall ensure putting in place systems to enable policyholders track the status of cashless requests/claims filed with the insurer/TPA through the website/portal/app or any other authorised electronic means on an ongoing basis."The status shall cover from the time of receipt of a request to the time of disposal of the claim along with the.

After it was announced he would be taking on a new role as Chief Impact Officer for a US based mental health company, Prince Harry has bagged himself a second new job.The dad-of-one has joined a non-profit Aspen Institute as a commissioner on it's new Commission of Information Disorder.The 36 year old will be joined on a panel with 14 other members and collectively they will conduct a six-month study on misinformation on the web.The commission will begin meeting from next month and a string of meetings will be held with experts to look at the "most critical and urgent issues".

LONDON : Women in their 40s and 50s appear more at risk of long-term problems following discharge from hospital after Covid-19, with many suffering months of persistent symptoms such as fatigue, breathlessness and brain fog, two UK studies found on Wednesday.One study found that five months after leaving hospital, Covid-19 patients who were also middle-aged, white, female, and had other health problems such as diabetes, lung or heart disease, tended to be more likely to report long-COVID symptoms."Our study finds that those who have the most severe prolonged symptoms tend to be white women aged approximately 40 to 60 who have at least two long term health conditions," said Chris Brightling, a professor of respiratory medicine at Leicester
