Reports from Hong Kong on Saturday have suggested North Korea Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un passed away following botched heart surgery.

He would be the first North Korean Supreme Leader to pass away since Kim Jong-il's death in 2011. Following his father's death, Kim Jong-un was next in line in the family tree to take over running the secretive Asian country.

He has been in charge ever since and has led a brutal regime having ordered the execution of his uncle Jang Song-thaek for "treachery" in 2013 among many other heinous acts.

News first broke that he was in "grave danger" following surgery on Tuesday. Here's what we currently know about his state of health.
