Kim Jong-un could have been injured by debris or fire from a missile test explosion, a former high-ranking official has claimed.
The North Korean tyrant was last seen in public on April 11 at a meeting of the Workers’ Party. Multiple reports have since claimed Kim is gravely ill after undergoing heart surgery – and may even have died.
Lee Jeong Ho, a former official of Room 39, an organisation run by the Workers' Party of North Korea, believes Kim may have been injured on April 14.
That day, North Korea’s military fired several short-range missiles off its east coast. Lee, who has defected to the US, believes the test would have required the go-ahead from the commander-in-chief himself.
