ITV has confirmed that Emmerdale has resumed filming almost two months after announcing it was to suspend production due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The programme has commenced a “phased return to filming” by recording six new episodes featuring characters during lockdown.
The soap’s production team announced that filming for these new episodes began yesterday at Emmerdale’s studio in Leeds - daytime show This Morning showed clips of workers filming under the new rules.
The crew is working on a reduced workforce so make sure that strict health and safety and social distancing measures are in place.
