JK Rowling has donated £1million to help people affected by homelessness and domestic abuse during the coronavirus crisis. The Harry Potter author, 54, announced her generous contribution on social media and explained that funds will be divided between two charities, Crisis and Refuge.
The renowned author shared that she has three key workers in her immediate family and has been affected by the ongoing crisis.
Posting her touching message on Twitter, Rowling also noted that today marked 22 years since the fictional 'Battle of Hogwarts'.
She wrote: "Today's the 22nd anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, but I'm going to be honest and say that it feels inappropriate to talk about fictional deaths today. "Too many people are losing loved
