JK Rowling has donated £1million to help people affected by homelessness and domestic abuse during the coronavirus crisis. The Harry Potter author, 54, announced her generous contribution on social media and explained that funds will be divided between two charities, Crisis and Refuge.

The renowned author shared that she has three key workers in her immediate family and has been affected by the ongoing crisis.
