Jurgen Klopp mocked Liverpool stance has paid off, explains Anfield great John Aldridge

Jurgen Klopp's decision to salute the Kop with his players in tow after Liverpool's 2-2 draw with West Brom in December 2015 saw him mercilessly grilled by rival fans, but John Aldridge reckons it was a genius move that has since paid dividends.

Anfield hero Aldridge was discussing the monumental impact that Klopp has had on the Reds since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in October 2015.

When Liverpool snatched a point at home to struggling West Brom in once of his first games, the manager celebrated Divock Origi’s stoppage-time equaliser wildly on the touchline, before assembling his players so they could salute the Kop.
