ERNAKULAM: With fewer fresh cases and more recoveries, Kerala's covid-19 infection curve is flattening, data from the state government indicated.
This signals that government and public interventions are paying off and slowing the spread of the viral infection. Kerala currently has the highest number of recovered covid-19 patients in the country at 71, according to Tuesday's official estimates.
Significantly, many of them recovered despite being elderly and vulnerable— one aged as high as 93 years and another 88-year-old.
Only two have succumbed to the disease so far in Kerala, which has one of the lowest death rates among infected states in India.
