SPORTS presenter Kirsty Gallacher has revealed her divorce caused post traumatic stress disorder and describes herself as “a bird freed” afterwards.
The telly star, 44, split from retired rugby ace Paul Sampson, 42, in 2015 after 15 years together. She says she was “grief-stricken” for the two sons they have shared custody of, now aged 13 and ten.
Kirsty hit “rock bottom” when she was caught driving three times over the alcohol limit in 2017. And the former Sky host said: “The divorce was a very difficult period.
I found it devastating. “I was grieving and mourning. I think I had post traumatic stress disorder. I was skinny, not eating and wanting to black it all out.
