A LEADING house builder has successfully secured the land for a new £10.6 million development in Glenboig.Persimmon Homes North Scotland purchased the former Croftfoot Farm, a 7.4-acre parcel of agricultural land off Johnston Road, to make way for what will be the first new-build development built by the company in the village.The land acquisition signals the ongoing efforts to maintain business as usual by the construction firm while adhering to strict safety measures currently in place across Scotland due to the Covid-19 pandemic.Planning approval for 83 new homes at the Croft Rise site was granted by North Lanarkshire Council and work is expected to get underway as soon as the Scottish Government confirms that it is safe for construction.
