Liverpool forced to slash Xherdan Shaqiri asking price on back of coronavirus crisis

Liverpool have had to slash their asking price of Xherdan Shaqiri, who looks set to leave in the transfer window. The Switzerland international has had a tough times with injuries this campaign but has been used sparingly by Jurgen Klopp.

Shaqiri has made just six appearances in the Premier League this campaign. And a move to Spain beckons, with Sevilla the most likely suitor for the former Bayern Munich star.

The Reds had initially wanted a fee of around £28m for the forward, a huge increase on the £13m they paid Stoke just two years ago.
