Local DJ sets up booth and blares Backstreet Boys to cheer up Airdrie street amid lockdown

We've seen some genius ways Scots have been cheering themselves and their pals up during this coronavirus lockdown. But one Airdrie resident's efforts might top the lot after he decided to give his neighbours a boogie-box boost by putting on a disco outside his home.

A viral video on Twitter shows the booth set up on the DJ's Dundrennan Drive doorstep as he blasted some tunes for the Chapelhall street to enjoy while they pass the time stuck indoors.

Complete with lights and a microphone, the DJ had residents bopping to The Backstreet Boys' classic Everybody - apparently a request from his neighbours.Filming from her upstairs window, Taylor Mcguigan can't contain her laughter as she writes: "Street's gone mad.
