ORLANDO, Fla. - A 72-year-old man was arrested and booked into jail after he allegedly threw a beer bottle at a Muslim man and made comments about his religion, and authorities are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.According to the arrest report, a group of people was outside a hookah lounge in Orlando on Wednesday and one of the men was apparently in traditional Muslim clothing. Victor Dubauskas, of Orlando, stopped to question the group of people about "where they were from and their religion," the report said. He then singled out the man in the group who was wearing traditional clothing.Victor Dubauskas, who is charged with assault and battery after throwing a beer bottle in the direction of a Muslim man and threatening to kill a group of people, according to deputies.

BELLEVIEW, Fla. - A Florida boy, 16, was killed this week after he and at least two others took turns shooting one another while wearing body armor, officials said.Joshua Vining and Colton Whitler, both 17, were arrested Thursday and are being tried as adults in connection with the shooting incident Sunday in Belleview (about 70 miles northwest of Orlando), where Christopher Leroy Broad Jr. was killed, according to the Belleview Police Department.Officers said they responded to a dispatch call where they found the boy in the residence with a gunshot wound.

LAKE MARY, Fla. - A Florida middle school teacher was arrested, accused of playing loud music with the intent to disrupt Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) testing being conducted at the school. Port Orange police officers were called to Creekside Middle School for a disturbance just after noon on Tuesday.Officers said Martin Reese, a teacher at the school, refused to turn off the music and caused a disturbance when being escorted to the principal’s office. This caused the school to go into lock down until the situation was resolved. "They couldn’t leave their class or anything like that," said Aubrey Markovitz.Markovitz said her daughter was already stressed about taking the test. "They’re trying to get through it, so to have a disruption while they’re stressed and trying to get through their testing, she was a little irritated.

TAMPA, Fla. - The surging gas prices have made fuel a prime target for thieves, officials say, and Hillsborough authorities just took an organized theft ring, arresting multiple people in the process.Sheriff Chad Chronister said their investigation began in February after the agency received a phone call about two Circle K gas stations with "tremendous fuel discrepancies." Steven Bertolino filed a motion to dismiss a civil lawsuit from the parents and stepparents of slain travel blogger Gabby Petito Wednesday.Bertolino filed his 20-page motion on Wednesday asking a Florida judge to drop the lawsuit with prejudice, arguing that there are no facts to support their claims of "intentional infliction of emotional distress." NEW YORK (AP) - Walmart will no longer sell cigarettes in some of its stores though tobacco sales can be a significant revenue generator.Wall Street Journal was the first to report the development Monday. It noted some stores in California, Florida, Arkansas and New Mexico were on the list, citing anonymous sources and store visits.Walmart is not the first national retail chain to cut off cigarette sales even on a trial basis, but it is the largest.Target ended cigarette sales in 1996 and the drugstore chain CVS Health did the same in 2014.CVS Health sales in areas outside the pharmacy fell for a few quarters after it pulled tobacco products, and the company had predicted that missing tobacco products would hurt annual earnings by 7 to 8 cents per share.Overall revenue has grown every year at CVS, however, after a number of acquisitions and changes to its stores bolstered the company’s health care offerings.

Witnesses shared video exclusively with FOX 35 of the moments right before he fell.
