MERCER COUNTY, Pa. - Four people died and one remains missing following a fire at a farmhouse in western Pennsylvania, authorities said.Fire crews in Mercer County were called to the Delaware Township blaze near Fredonia at about midnight Thursday and found the multi-story farmhouse engulfed in flames. Officials said about a dozen fire departments responded along with state police and ambulance crews.

WILMINGTON, Del. - Wilmington police say they are investigating a shooting that left a teenager dead on Wednesday, while a man and woman are charged in connection with the teen's death.At around 5:38 p.m., police say they responded to the 900 block of North Spruce Street for reports of a shooting. Sky FOX was over the scene of a shooting in Wilmington that left a teenager dead.  Responding officers say they found a 19-year-old, identified as Za’Quan Blackwell, of Chester, Pa., suffering a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where officials say he succumbed to his injuries and died.According to Wilmington Police officials, 18-year-old Armani Rogers and 19-year-old Ah’kee Flonnory are both in custody.Flonnory is facing murder charges and is being held on more than $1 million cash-only bail.Rogers is facing second degree assault charges.Police are actively investigating this incident and they are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Kevin Nolan at 302-576-3962.

PITTSBURGH - The parents of a 1-year-old western Pennsylvania boy who authorities said died after he was intentionally "dosed with methadone" have pleaded guilty to third-degree murder.Tracy Humphreys and Thomas Snelsire, both 47-year-old Baldwin residents, face standard-range prison terms of 16 to 20 years due to their criminal records when they are sentenced in Allegheny County court on Jan. 11, the Tribune-Review reported.Assistant District Attorney Lisa Carey told a judge last week that Tommy Snelsire’s death wasn’t caused by accidental contact with the methadone, fentanyl and cocaine found in his system.

NEW CASTLE, Del. - A 59-year-old Delaware man is wanted for allegedly committing home improvement fraud.New Castle County Police are searching for Perren Davis, of Wilmington, on a warrant of felony home improvement fraud.New Castle County officials say the warrant is for a situation in Wilmington.Officials believe there may be additional victims who have not come forward, in Delaware and possibly in Pennsylvania.Davis is described as 5’9" and weighing 135 pounds.

Jayana Tanae Webb, 21, appeared to have posted that she was the ‘best drunk driver ever’ weeks before she allegedly struck and killed two Pennsylvania state troopers and a third man while driving under the influence.  PHILADELPHIA - A woman accused of fatally striking two Pennsylvania State Troopers and a pedestrian on I-95 in March posted bail on Wednesday, according to court records. Jayana Webb, 21, was charged with third-degree murder and other offenses following the deadly crash. A Philadelphia judge previously dismissed the third-degree murder charges in June, but they were later reinstated with bail set at 10% of $600,000.Officials say she was under the influence of alcohol and behind the wheel of an SUV when it plowed into Trooper Branden Sisca, 29, Trooper Martin F.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is planning a gathering Wednesday with supporters by his side to push back against a State House vote holding him in contempt.The two-term Democrat stood with members of Philadelphia City Council Wednesday as they detailed plans to protect abortion rights.  Krasner said he was "thrilled" to be the only man standing with the council members but was far less enthusiastic to talk about the contempt vote.In a lopsided vote, in the Republican controlled State House, the two-term Democratic D.A. was held in contempt for failing to respond to subpoenas from a special committee investigating whether to impeach him. According to the committee, Krasner declined to accept hand-delivered subpoenas and his office is not complying with an electronic copy accepted by his attorneys.When pressured for an answer on the contempt vote by FOX 29's Jeff Cole.

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - A West Chester woman, who just celebrated her 96th birthday, gets up every morning with a pep in her step, thanks to her positive attitude and an aerobics dance class.Cecilia Yaworski began taking exercise classes with her family at ACAC Fitness and Wellness Center in West Chester a few years ago. HARRISBURG, Pa. - A Pennsylvania House committee has voted to hold Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner in contempt. The House Select Committee on Restoring Law and Order says committee members unanimously recommended that Krasner be held in contempt due to his failure to comply with subpoenas issued by the committee last month."This is not a decision we, as a committee, came to lightly," Representative Torren Ecker said. "This committee is steadfast in its intention to get to the bottom of the current unrest in Philadelphia and being denied access to important documents hinders progress in achieving that goal."RELATED: 3 Pa. WEST WHITELAND TWP, Pa. - A Pennsylvania nanny is accused of using a parent's credit card to rack up thousands in charges, including a shopping spree at several high-end retail stores. Jessica Gadebusch, 20, was arrested and charged with third-degree felony after authorities say the parents of two noticed nearly $8k in erroneous charges on their card. Anne Carlin, an Exton resident, said she hired Gadebusch when their daycare was suddenly closed by the state due to allegations made against the staff. "We went on Facebook to the babysitting nanny groups and we saw Jessica’s post that she was available immediately," Carlin said.MORE LOCAL HEADLINESDuring Gadebusch's two-week stint as the Carlin's nanny she was given their credit card to take their kids to the zoo and returned the card after the trip. The Carlin's then noticed thousands of hundreds of dollars in charges at Sephora and LuluLemon, as well as an AirBnb transaction. Investigators with the West Whiteland Township Police Department later found the Gadebusch added the Carlin's card to her Apple Wallet to make the purchases."We have to warn our residents that this type of thing may happen," Detective Scott Pezick said. PennDOT announces newly-designed driver's license and ID cards. CHESTER, Pa. - A community, along with several schools, are mourning the loss of a former college basketball standout and head coach.Larry Yarbray, 51, reportedly died while riding with a group of bicyclists in Dover, Delaware, over the weekend. Police say he lost control of his bicycle, and was struck when he swerved into oncoming traffic.Yarbray was the starting point guard at Coppin State University in 1990 when the team made history with its first-ever NCAA tournament appearance.

PHILADELPHIA - A large piece of history sits in Chester County as the nation comes together to remember the lives taken during the 9/11 terrorists attacks.The National Iron & Steel Heritage Museum in Coatesville is home to the largest collection of World Trade Center steel outside New York City. In 1969, Luken's Steel built massive steel structures, known as "trees" or "tridents," as support systems for the lobby and nine floors of the Twin Towers.Most of the tridents were still standing after the tragic attacks, and now one is visible to visitors outside the museum, which now stands at the former location of the steel company."Where those tridents are is where the glass windows were for the offices on the first floor," said Jim Zigler, executive director of the museum.

YORK, Pa. - A Pennsylvania woman has been sentenced to six to 20 years in prison on charges in the disappearance and apparent death of her husband more than a decade ago — charges based in part on a partial scalp found in a bag along a road.Hours before jury selection was to begin in her York County trial last week, 71-year-old Virginia Hayden pleaded no contest to third-degree murder and tampering with public records. A no-contest plea spares a defendant from having to acknowledge guilt but is treated as a guilty plea by the court.Hayden was charged in 2019 with first-degree murder and 65 other criminal counts, including forgery, theft, and receiving stolen property in the disappearance and presumed death of Thomas Hayden Sr., who went missing in the fall of 2011.Prosecutors say a large section of scalp with hair that appeared to be tied in a ponytail was found along with bloody pieces of cloth in a FoodSaver bag along a road in January 2012.

PHILADELPHIA - A Pennsylvania man drown at a New Jersey beach when police say he was swept out to sea by strong currents Thursday afternoon. Shawn Reilly, 56, was swimming at an Ocean City beach with his 21-year-old son when police say rough surf caused him to struggle in the water. According to investigators, Reilly's son tried to help his father and was also taken by the strong currents.Three lifeguards entered the water and brought both men to shore where they immediately started CPR on Reilly. First responders from the Ocean City Fire Department/EMS took over CPR and rushed Reilly to Shore Medical Center where he died.

BENSALEM, Pa. - Authorities say a motorcycle driver was killed Wednesday night in Bucks County when he lost control of his bike and slammed into a concrete barrier. Pennsylvania State Police reported Anthony Dworinitski, 35, died when he crashed his Suzuki motorcycle on the I-95 southbound exit ramp near Cornwells Hights Park and Ride just before 9 p.m. An investigation concluded that Dworinitski lost control of his motorcycle and struck a concrete barrier on the shoulder of the exit ramp, resulting in fatal injuries. Emergency medical responders from Bensalem pronounced Dworinitski, a Bristol resident, dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the deadly motorcycle crash. 

CHELTENHAM, Pa. - On the same day Pennsylvania leaders met to raise concerns about rising crime against the postal service, authorities in one county warned residents to avoid a mailbox that's been struck by thefts dozens of times.The Cheltenham Township Police Department advised residents not to put mail with cash or checks inside the blue dropbox outside the Elkins Park Post office on Ashbourne Road. The box, according to police, has been a favorite target for money-hungry thieves.Authorities say checks taken from the mailbox have been stolen, washed, and fraudulently deposited into another account of an unintended recipient.

CHESTER HEIGHTS, Pa. - A woman died after she crashed head-on into a pole as police were chasing her in Chester Heights Borough on Wednesday. According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers on patrol came upon a running vehicle in a parking lot around 1 a.m. in Concord Township. Authorities say the car's registration information revealed that the vehicle, a 2012 Ford Focus, and thedriver, a 50-year-old woman, were listed as missing and endangered from Connecticut. Troopers approached the car and saw an unresponsive female in the driver's seat, officials say. State Police says troopers tapped the window, causing the woman to wake up. Troopers say the woman then began to exhibit signs that she was possibly undergoing a mental health episode and she sped away. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESTroopers followed the woman as she fled and attempted to stop her, but she put the car in reverse, striking the troopers' patrol car before going north in the southbound lanes towards oncoming traffic, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Authorities say the woman then drove back into the northbound lanes recklessly while ignoring lights and sirens from troopers. As the troopers continued to follow her, she drove head on into a utility pole on Valleybrook Road and was ejected from the vehicle, according to officials. Police say she was pronounced dead on scene and that an investigation is ongoing. This is a developing story.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A school district is mourning the tragic loss of an employee after she became the victim of pedestrian crash before school started Tuesday.Angela Yowakim, an employee of the Allentown School District, was struck by a vehicle while crossing Irving Street outside Dieruff High School around 6:42 a.m.Officials say she later died after succumbing to her injuries.The City of Allentown and the Allentown School District says Yowakim was a "dedicated team member."MORE HEADLINES:She was reportedly employed by the school district as a paraprofessional since 2019, and was a 2015 graduate of Dieruff High School."The family has requested privacy during this very difficult time.," officials say.No further details regarding the crash have been released at this time, but an investigation is underway.Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

NASSAU, Bahamas - A shark attacked and killed a U.S. cruise ship passenger who was snorkeling in waters around the Bahamas on Tuesday, according to authorities.The incident involved a 58-year-old woman from Pennsylvania and occurred at a popular snorkeling spot near Green Cay in the northern Bahamas, police spokeswoman Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings told The Associated Press."It’s unfortunate," she said.Skippings said the woman’s family identified it as a bull shark.Royal Caribbean International said in a statement to the AP that the person died after arriving at a local hospital for treatment and that the company is helping their loved ones.

Authorities said the cause of death appeared to be suicide.Pennsylvania State Police troopers were called to the trail by two men riding four-wheelers.

Pennsylvania - Hundreds of workers from 14 Pennsylvania nursing homes went on strike Friday after contract negotiations failed to produce a deal, frustrating state officials who recently approved an aid package meant to bolster staff recruitment and retention in the long-term care industry.About 700 unionized workers walked off the job in a dispute over pay, benefits and staffing levels. Photos and video on social media showed picket lines going up outside many of the homes, with workers carrying signs and wearing the purple T-shirts of their union, SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania."Our goal has always been — and continues to be — to get a fair contract that invests in this entire workforce and will meaningfully address the staffing crisis," said Matthew Yarnell, SEIU president.He accused the nursing home operators of "failing to create the kind of wage scales we’ve been able to achieve with other providers."Talks began Thursday morning and ended early Friday without an agreement, with no new negotiations scheduled.
