Loose Women's Denise Welch has shared that she was hospitalised after coming back from a gorgeous holiday with her husband due to a nasty infection that had her on 'a drip for a week'.

Denise discussed her health scare on Tuesday's Loose Women as she made her show return, explaining that post-holiday, she found herself rushed to the hospital with acute peritonitis.The condition is an infection of the inner lining of your abdominal, reports the Mirror.

Denise, 66, has been noticeably absent from the ITV programme for some time and host Ruth Langsford introduced the the actress as she made a comeback today.

Denise bravely opened up about her battle with depression, which Denise calls her ‘unwelcome visitor,’ following a tough time late last year, before revealing that she ended up in hospital after flying back from a holiday in the Caribbean.
