Love Island's Shaughna Phillips has opened up about a medical condition she suffers with called lipoedema. The star lived with it for many years unknowingly until it was pointed out to her following her stint on the ITV show, which encouraged her to get liposuction.Taking to the social media platform on Monday night, Shaughna told her followers that she had found an old photo of her from 2017 and wanted to share it to show what lipoedema looks like. She added: "How anyone can accuse suffers of being lazy/fat is beyond me.

It is a medical condition that 1/11 women suffer with, often in silence, often misdiagnosed."Shaughna shared a photo of her in a bikini as she posed in front of the water and the Dubai skyline. She wrote: "In this picture I was struggling with an eating disorder.

I was underweight. I was torturing myself in the gym. Yet my legs were getting bigger and bigger."Lipoedema has nothing to do with being overweight.

So damaging to continue treating women as if it's their fault." The NHS website describes the condition as being more common in women and usually affects both sides of the body equally.

Corrie Lisa George's life - health battle, charging fans for videos, first soap role
Coronation Street for over a decade, but fans would be forgiven for not knowing that she's appeared on the ITV Cobbles before.Corrie's not the only show she's starred in, either, because she's worked on rival soaps like Emmerdale and Holby City. From reality TV stints, to dramatic health battles, Lisa has plenty of telly-worthy tales, so Daily Star have taken a look at her life.Although Corrie fans will know Lisa best as Underworld machinist Beth Sutherland, it turns out Lisa has already appeared in the soap before. She's played Beth Tinker since 2011, but she played two other roles on Corrie before becoming a permanent fixture in Weatherfield. Her first time on Corrie came back in 1997, when she appeared as a young nurse working alongside Martin Platt. She later appeared as a Family Liason Officer working on the investigation into Tommy Harris's murder - appearing for five episodes between March and April 2005.Before any of that, though, she appeared in The Bill as Melissa Wilson - for one episode in 1994.She's also worked on medial drama Holby City (2004), and even Corrie's rival ITV soap Emmerdale when she played a guest role as Pauline Arkwright.Sadly, the talented star was left half-blind in her right eye after suffering a mini-stroke.Lisa, who also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, hemorrhaged behind her optic nerve over five years ago, and says it left lasting damage to her sight. She also revealed that she got hit in the eye with some rope.Lisa said: "I haemorrhaged behind my optic nerve four years ago and I’m half-blind in my right eye, they said it was like a stroke but also I got hit in the eye with a bit of rope."She told The Sun: "They think I’d had some mini-stroke but a specialist said it has to be the rope, I
