Man threatened to bomb hospital and said he 'hoped staff died from coronavirus'

A sick internet troll threatened to bomb a hospital and and posted a YouTube video entitled: "I hope the NHS die of coronavirus.” Matthew Wain, from Handsworth, made the bomb threat in a deplorable phone call to Birmingham's City Hospital in which he also said he “hoped the staff there died”.

JPs heard the 31-year-old said he'd "bomb the place" after being unhappy at the level of care he had received there previously.

Wain recorded the menacing phone call and proudly uploaded it to YouTube on March 29 before later being charged with sending menacing or offensive communications, Birmingham Live reports.
