Officers were called to reports of a man with a knife at the Woodley Health Centre on Hyde Road just after 12.30pm today (Friday).

An eyewitness from inside the building, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the M.E.N that the man had 'six different knives including meat cleavers' on him.

They said he 'tried to attack doctors, patients and nurses' inside the health centre but that 'no-one was stabbed or hurt'.The eyewitness added that police Tasered the man before detaining him."He had six different knives, including meat cleavers", the eyewitness said."He was trying to.
