Premier League clubs might only get a two-week break between the end of the 2019-20 campaign and the start of the new season.
The current campaign has been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus crisis after the country went into lockdown but there is a determination for the season to be completed.
UEFA has moved the European Championship back to 2021, allowing for domestic campaigns to be extended into the summer months, and FIFA is expected to announce an official restructure to the sporting calendar imminently that extends the 2019-20 season for as long as required.
The 2020-21 season is set to be affected as well, with a current start date of August 8th possibly being pushed back, but the Daily Mail says clubs have been warned
