Wilfried Zaha is one of Manchester United’s bigger regrets in recent years. There is not a single mention of the winger in Sir Alex Ferguson’s last Manchester United signing in his second autobiography.
The book was released seven months after Zaha completed a medical at Bridgewater Hospital. Neil Warnock, Zaha’s manager at Palace in 2015, said the winger ‘never had a conversation with Sir Alex’.
Now United are once again targeting an exciting English winger in the shape of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund. The financial investment required to land Sancho will undoubtedly dwarf that of Zaha, which makes the need to successfully integrate him even greater.
