Manchester United have suffered a Covid-19 outbreak following their 1-0 Premier League win at Norwich. Club sources have confirmed a small number of players and staff tested positive and were sent home before training on Sunday.
The whole group who travelled to Norwich had initially tested negative but, subsequently, a small number of lateral flow tests among players and staff returned positive results.
Those fit enough to train today trained outside at United’s Carrington training complex. The Premier League has been notified of United’s positive cases.
The majority of United’s coaching staff had to isolate on the eve of the league visit of Newcastle in February and missed a number of matches.
