West Texas Intermediate for June delivery rose 1.5% to $23.91 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange as of 10:49 a.m. in Singapore after closing down 1.8% on Thursday.
Brent for July settlement added 1.2% to $29.80, taking its advance so far this week to around 13%. Asian stocks edged higher tracking Wall Street gains on Friday in the early deals.
