A draft report into the delay in the reporting of more than 200 Covid-19 cases from the Mater hospital has found that the "legal requirement was met".
Speaking at the weekly HSE briefing, HSE Chief Executive Paul Reid said that when he became aware of the issue on Thursday, it was concerning, but that since the investigation was initiated, he has been assured.
Mr Reid said that the reporting of Covid-19 cases to the relevant authorities is a statutory legal requirement. He said that the "information furnished clearly shows that the legal requirement was met".
