McDonald's explains reasoning for limited menu - and teases big news for the North

McDonald's fans across the country rejoiced when the announcement came that it would be reopening some of its branches. But this was than short lived for some when they realised the menu was very limited.

Not only that, northern customers were left pretty unimpressed when the fast-food chain reopened a further 39 of its UK branches to shoppers earlier this week - all based in the south.

However, McDonald's CEO Paul Pomroy has explained the reason for both of those things in an email to customers - and it could be good news for us in the north of the country and fans of a certain breakfast item.
