The NHS Nightingale Hospital was built in just nine days in response to the coronavirus crisis and opened its doors to patients on Tuesday April 7.
The facility, on the site of the ExCeL Centre in the Docklands in east London, has capacity for between 4,000 and 5,000 beds – making it the largest critical care facility in the world.
