'Mega bubbles' of upto 240 pupils will be formed from September in England where the entire year group could be forced to isolate if one gets coronavirus, according to reports.
Schools will be asked to form Covid-secure 'year bubbles' under Government plans to get secondary pupils back to the classroom for the start of the new academic year, plans published by the Huffington Post state.
Year groups will be separated from one another and have staggered start and finish times. They will also be kept apart for breaks.
In England's primary schools, smaller bubbles of 30 will be recommended because it is usual for classes to stay together for all subjects.
