Men working as builders and taxi drivers among groups most at risk of coronavirus

Men working as builders, security guards, taxi and bus drivers, carers and chefs are among the groups of workers most likely to die of coronavirus in the UK.
Figures published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), today show men working in these traditionally working-class public-facing occupations had a heightened risk of dying from Covid-19 in England and Wales.
Security guards had one of the highest rates with 45.7 deaths per 100,000, while taxi drivers and chauffeurs had a rate of 36.4.
Male bus and coach drivers were found to have a rate of 26.4 deaths per 100,000, chefs a rate of 35.9. Construction worker deaths were 25.9 per 100,000 ahead of and sales and retail assistants, who die at a rate of 19.8.
