Minister for Education Joe McHugh will face questions in the Dáil later today on Leaving Certificate calculated grades, planning for the reopening of schools, and the plight of children with disabilities under lockdown.
Today's lunchtime Dáil focus on education will be preceded by a meeting of the education advisory group comprised of student, teacher and other representatives.
That meeting is likely to focus on discussing details of how teachers will manage marking and ranking their students. There has been ongoing engagement over the weekend between the Department of Education and teacher and school bodies over a copious amount of concerns and questions as to how calculated grading will work.
