More than a dozen people were recently discharged from a hospital in Stockport after beating coronavirus. 16 patients at Stepping Hill Hospital were able to leave the COVID-19 unit.
They are now recovering at home. Staff said it is a 'real joy when their teamwork pays off' and to send patients home. A post on the Stockport NHS Foundation Trust Facebook page said: "We recently discharged 16 patients from our Covid19 unit and our staff were pleased to see them leave the hospital to recover at home. "A minority of people with Covid19 become very seriously ill, but thankfully with care and treatment in many cases they will recover."
