More than 100 patients have been discharged from Tameside Hospital after beating coronavirus. 103 people who tested positive for COVID-19 were able to leave the hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne.

They are now recovering at home. In a post on Facebook, the hospital trust thanked staff for their 'dedication and care'. The post on the Tameside Hospital, Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust Facebook page said: "We have discharged 103 patients who tested positive for COVID-19. "Thanks to the dedication and care of all our teams across the hospital, community, and our colleagues in primary and social care." This comes after more than a dozen people were recently discharged from a hospital in Stockport after beating the virus.
