Moving tributes have been paid to a karaoke host and 'Bolton legend' days after her unexpected death. Diane Thornley, 44, died in hospital on Thursday afternoon following what is believed to be multiple strokes that left her in a medically induced coma.
Ms Thornley was a famous face around Bolton, say friends, making a name for herself in the nightlife scene as a long-time karaoke host at Barristers Bar in Churchgate, Bolton.
Ms Thornley, of Breightmet, sadly leaves behind her partner of 10 years, Peter Bates, and her 18-year-old son. Those close to her have been left devastated by the sudden death of the mum-of-one.
Diane Campbell - who was friends with Ms Thornley for 24 years and was her karaoke co-host at Barristers - has led tributes.
