A healthy teenager, left fighting for her life in hospital after contracting coronavirus, began to recover after doctors decided to turn her on to her front and give her a nebuliser in a two week battle with the killer bug.
Frantic Diane Houghton's worst fears came true when 19-year-old Abbie Houghton was rushed to hospital struggling to breathe and placed on a ventilator.
The 48-year-old would call the Royal Stoke University Hospital every few hours for updates on Abbie's condition. After Abbie was flipped onto her front and placed on a nebuliser her symptoms started to improve, Stoke on Trent Live reports.
Now beautician Abbie - who lost two stone during the gruelling illness - is continuing her recovery at home following a two-week stay
