A mum diagnosed with Covid-19 in March believes the virus may have given her glaucoma and is urging the medical community to take the long-lasting impact on patients' health more seriously.
Diana Berrent, founder of Survivor Corps - a grassroots movement to help support virus survivors - thought she was rid of coronavirus months ago but has since experienced many worrying symptoms.
Last week she was diagnosed with the eye condition glaucoma, which sees the optic nerve become damaged and can cause loss of vision if not treated early.
Writing in the New York Post, the 46-year-old said she was initially "stunned" to be one of the first in the US state to test positive for the virus - and is still feeling its effects.
