The Health Service Executive is expected to announce the resumption of national screening programmes like CervicalCheck from next month.
Invitations to screening, as well as dates for the resumption of delayed screening a few weeks later, will issue next month.
CervicalCheck screening was halted in March along with three other programmes, due to the Covid-19 emergency. Around 30-40,000 CervicalCheck tests are normally done a month.
The HSE is due to give a briefing on the resumption of some services today and related issues. The other programmes affected were BreastCheck, BowelCheck and screening for diabetic retinopathy.
