The coronavirus death toll continues to climb in Bolton as 20 more deaths have been recorded over the last week. The figures bring the total number of coronavirus-related deaths in Bolton to 190, since the figures began on March 1.
The infection rate in Bolton has also soared to 309 per 100,000 way above England's average rate of 241 per 100,000 according to government figures.
This week's number of deaths reached a peak on Sunday May 3 when seven deaths were reported, according to figures from the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.
Following that peak four more deaths were recorded on May 4, two on May 5, three on both May 6 and 7, and one more death on May 8.
