The Northern Ireland Executive will meet this morning to decide whether to extend the Covid-19 restrictions for another two weeks.
According to reports, a range of options may be put on the table at today's meeting which has been scheduled for 10am. Compared to south of the border, Northern Ireland continues to report higher rates of the coronavirus, with higher numbers of hospitalisations and more patients in intensive care units.
The current measures implemented to curb the spread of the virus are due to be lifted on Friday, but public health officials have advised against the reopening of bars and restaurants, which alongside night clubs and beauty salons have been closed since the middle of October.
