Nicola Sturgeon confirms it's 'very likely' lockdown will be extended on Thursday

Nicola Sturgeon has warned that lockdown is unlikely to be eased in the near future because the infection rate for coronavirus is still too high.

In her daily press conference the First Minister insisted the infection rate, sometimes described as the R number, is still too high to make “any meaningful change”.
