Confused Brits respond to Boris Johnson's lockdown easing with flurry of cheeky memes

The UK's new "roadmap" out of lockdown has led to many confused Brits taking to Twitter with a flurry of sarcastic memes aimed at the Prime Minister.

Boris Johnson's Sunday night address was lampooned online as he switched Number 10's clear "stay at home message" to its new "stay alert, control the virus and save lives" mantra.

In a prerecorded address to the nation, Mr Johnson said the coronavirus restrictions would not end yet, but encouraged some people "who cannot work from home" to return to work from Monday.

Meanwhile people are also to be encouraged to go out more than once a day to exercise, and can now go out for picnics even if it means driving to get somewhere.
