Covid-19. The student is now self-isolating at home with immediate family following the positive test.It is understood he only attended school for one day - last Thursday, August 13.

The news comes after four other pupils at two Coatbridge schools tested positive for the deadly virus last week. Meanwhile another pupil has tested positive who attends Bannerman High in Baillieston, in the north east of Glasgow.

It's the latest case in a cluster that has hit the northeast of Glasgow in the past week, taking the total number to 12. Several of the positive cases have already been linked to the school.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will give her daily update this afternoon around 12.15pm at St Andrew's House in Edinburgh.
